My family is from County Cork and I am trying to confirm a few things.  When I visited the New Iceland Heritage Museum in 2016 I was told that the original settlers had come to Iceland with their Irish wives.  I met a delightful Irishman while I was there.  Had I been able to move there as planned in November, 2016 I am certain we would have made great friends.  I was also asked to help set-up and Gimli Flying Club and I did that, but virtually ~ I've just started
